1 day trip in Colmar
Colmar (France) is a small town located in Alsace and it takes 1.5 hours drive from Baden.
Its Christmas market is very famous and personally I prefer here more than Strasbourg.
I used to come here often on saturday but since I've got the little ones...anyway it was difficult to get here.
Then I remembered how difficult to find the place to park!
After going here and there for 30min, we decided to park in one of the indoor parkings.
Luckily we found the ideal one and we'll definitely park here all the time from now onward.
The best parking is called "Mairie". It's located exactly under the supermarket Monoprix in the center so it's very convenient. Near Monoprix there's a famous Boulangerie called Paul so you can buy some really tasty baguettes or breads too.
To eat lunch or dinner, "Petit Venise" area is absolutely recommended.
From the street "Grand Rue" towards petit Venise, you'll find many tasteful bistro or brasseries and they serve really good meals too. Restaurants near the center is very touristic and I can't say they're good.
But as you know, the restaurants in France are basically very tiny so it was quite hard to enjoy the meal with non-stop moving little kids with 2 strollers!
